We are happy to announce that we have finished planting on November 20 and we planted an impressive 419,084 trees! We are particularly happy about this result as thanks to this result, we have passed the 3,000,000 trees planted mark since our foundation!
The novelty and difficulty this year was to plant in four different afforestation areas, in three different provinces.
- We started first in Tsaghkunk (Gegharkunik region) to plant the Belgian-Armenian forest and Mantashyants Business club forest, 54,069 trees (in addition to the 23,600 planted in the spring).
- Then we continued in Lernajour 4 (Lori region) with 151,063 trees financed in part by the Swiss Development Cooperation in the framework of the FORACCA project and by families and friends of Leigha Schjelderup and Eguiz Kirokian, for planting a memorial forest.
- Simultaneously we continued in Lernajour 5, where we planted 133,721 trees for the Union of Banks of Armenia and various other donors.
- The last site was in Dzorashen (Shirak region) where three teams of workers planted 80,231 trees for the Charles Aznavour Forest project, the Symphonic Forest and Art-Biopharma and other donors.

Overall, we planted 135 ha this fall, which brings the total area of new forest to 960 ha since our first planting in 2020.
We were particularly lucky with the weather. We started on October 22 and were able to plant continuously with an interruption of only two days because of rain which rendered the access roads on the mountains too slippery to operate safely.
We were also very happy with our 120 planters and 12 brigadiers who were highly motivated. They worked diligently and efficiently and the quality of the work was impeccable. This should give us excellent results next year. They are so grateful for the work but also for the positive conditions we are creating for their region. They keep thanking us but we want to thank you, our donors, for enabling this wonderful activity.
This fall, we hosted several corporate volunteers for team building activities: Synopsys, ACBA Bank, Nvidia, Ardshinbank, Birthright Armenia and Mantashyants Business Club. All together - 210 people - planted 900 trees, while the 80 employees of Synopsys collected seeds.
