Shirakamut is a special community: a place where our Newlyweds’ Forest is located. We planted the first 150 trees here in the fall 2020. In keeping with Armenian tradition, newlywed couples give wedding favors to their guests. Today, an inspiring trend among young couples is to gift trees as wedding favors, choosing to leave a lasting, meaningful impact rather than giving temporary physical items. Imagine a future where the landscape of Shirakamut is a vibrant tapestry of trees, each one representing a unique story of love and unity. These trees will be there for their children, and grandchildren, standing as a living monument to the love that brought them into being. Once the epicenter of the devastating Spitak earthquake in 1988, Shirakamut now stands as a testament to resilience and renewal, transforming the place into the symbol of love and care for future generations. To fund the trees for your wedding or to give trees to your loved newlyweds, please fill in the application when making the donation. We will contact you back within one working day.
