We are pleased to share that Andre Gumuchdjian, Founder and Director of My Forest Armenia, will give two special lectures in the United States this December.
The first lecture will take place in Los Angeles on Sunday, December 7 at 5:00 p.m., hosted by the Organization of Istanbul Armenians and co-sponsored by the ARPA Foundation.
The second lecture will take place in New York on Wednesday, December 10 at 5:30 p.m at the AGBU central office.
Both conferences, titled “The Challenges of Large-Scale Reforestation,” will feature insights from My Forest Armenia’s work, including the practical realities of creating forests and the accomplishments made since 2019, with over 3,000,000 trees planted to date.
His passion, and his dynamism will be at the heart of the evening. We hear a lot about global warming, the climate crisis, and the effects of CO2, but in reality, we know so little. Join us for this conference, which promises to be informative and, at the same time, will inspire us to become informed participants in shaping our future on Earth.
He will also introduce the Charles Aznavour Forest, a 100-hectare project honoring the artist’s centenary and representing 300,000 new trees in Armenia.
