Andre Gumuchdjian is a Belgian-Armenian philanthropist and entrepreneur. A graduate from Harvard University, he has been involved in different projects in Armenia and Artsakh since 2013.

Andre has decided to found My Forest Armenia because he feels future generations should not be burdened to clean up previous generations’ pollution. It is the moral duty of each of us to clean up our carbon emissions. Fortunately, there is a way to do that by planting trees.

As he got more involved in the project, Andre realized the crucial importance of forests for our living planet. Forests are incredibly complex ecosystems and associated with numerous aspects of life on earth. The biodiversity that it creates is essential for the human species to develop.

Andre provides the strategic vision of My Forests Armenia. He is responsible for the funding of the organization as well as financial and economic planning.

Lilith is the hub of all teams of our organization. Passionate about nature and believing that humans, flora and fauna still have a chance to live together, she is excited about the vision of My Forest Armenia to create new sustainable forests and its organization values such as efficiency and care.

With more than 13 years of experience in marketing, communications, sales and management, she drives the teams to achieve long-term goals of our organization. She holds a Master’s degree of Philology from Yerevan State University.

Vahe, a long time forest specialist, puts the necessary skills and knowledge to the service of My Forest Armenia to push it forward and develop its mission, vision and objectives. Together with the founder, he provides the strategic vision of the organization. Vahe’s previous work experience is forest restoration and nursery management. He worked on different projects for forestry development in Armenia. He holds a PhD in forest eco-physiology from the institute of Botany of the National Academy of Science of Armenia.

Taron is responsible for the technical aspects of the forest restoration projects and oversees the research program. He has a strong background in environmental modeling, geographic information systems technology and remote sensing. His previous work experience concerned natural ecosystems of Armenia, Climate Change and forest restoration. He holds a PhD from the institute of Botany of the National Academy of Science of Armenia. His published thesis was “Climate Change impact on some rare Armenian ecosystems”.

Alina is responsible for maintaining relationships with corporate partners of My Forest Armenia and fundraising in Armenia.

She has graduated from Armenian National Agrarian University.

Heghine is responsible for relations with individual donors. She has joined our team because she loves nature, trees and forests.

She has graduated from Yerevan State University and has a Master’s degree in International Economic Relations.

Marina, a filmmaker passionate about nature, joins our team to bring an artistic vision into telling our story.

She graduated from the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinema and has four years of experience as a video editor, special effects artist, and director. Her work has been showcased in various international film festivals.

Mary is a website and content manager with five years of experience in producing engaging content.

With her deep SEO knowledge and knack for captivating audiences, Mary is the go-to guru for all things content management.

She also has her own platform where she advocates for sustainable and environmentally conscious living practices. She has graduated from the University of Languages and Social Sciences.

Francesca, a graduate of UCLA is a highly accomplished fundraiser with extensive experience working with nonprofits such as Greenpeace, The Nature Conservancy, National Parks, etc. Based in California, she is responsible for fundraising in the USA.

Arpine is responsible for hosting our volunteering and other events.

She has graduated with a degree in hydro-meteorology from Yerevan State University and is passionate about increasing forest coverage in Armenia.

Diana is responsible for the organization’s financial and accounting operations. She has been working as an accountant since 2007.

Diana has graduated from Yerevan State University, Faculty of Economics, with a master’s degree.

Mery supports managers and employees of My Forest Armenia through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication.

She has graduated from the University of Languages and Social Sciences.

Edvard is in charge of the greenhouse and coordinates the tasks of the workers engaged in reforestation and afforestation activities.

He holds an engineering degree from Polytechnic University of Armenia. Edvard has 15 years experience in coordinating nursery work and reforestation projects.

Taron is responsible for coordinating works on afforestation areas, and recruiting workers for planting and maintenance.

He has graduated from Vanadzor State Pedagogical Institute, Faculty of Physics, Mathematics Department.

Musegh recruits workers for tree planting and maintenance work and coordinates fencing works in afforestation areas.

He has worked for the Environmental Protection and Subsoil Inspection Body as a state inspector-legal advisor for about four years.

Levon is responsible for coordinating the work of nursery workers, as well as organising nursery and tree planting logistics.

He has worked for “Hayantar” SNCO for 7 years as a chief forester for Vanadzor Forest Enterprise.

Gegham is responsible for coordinating the works of Debet Nursery.

He has graduated from the mechanics department of Gugark Agricultural Technical College. Gegham worked for about 6 years in “Hayantar” SNOC as a forest manager of Yeghegnut forestry.

Sargis is responsible for all the construction and technical parts of setting up and maintaining the nurseries.

Sargis has received his education in Vanadzor. He has been a construction technician with more than 30 years of experience.
