We are excited to announce that we have launched a new project, for the creation of a Belgian-Armenian Forest. 

Following the successful completion of our first Australian-Armenian Forest fundraising on June 16, 2024, we launched our second fundraiser, connecting diaspora communities and host countries to Armenia. The launch took place at the Belgian-Armenian Socio-Cultural Centre on December 12, 2024, in the presence of His Excellency Tigran Balayan, Ambassador of Armenia to the Kingdom of Belgium. We will host more events in the coming months.

We are now calling on all Belgians and Belgian-Armenians to participate in the creation of this forest which will contribute to improving the landscape in Armenia and will also be a testament to the strong bonds between Belgium and Armenia. At the same time, the creation of this forest will have a significant social impact as it will create more than 100 direct and indirect jobs which will improve the livelihoods of many families.

We are aiming to plant 50.000 trees which represent a forest of 16 hectares, but let’s try to surpass that number.

The area we have selected is near Lake Sevan, in the province of Gegharkunik, close to the village of Tsaghkunk. The land which is well-oriented to the north has a total surface of 51 ha.  

We are happy to announce that we already have commitments for 25,000 trees. The fundraising will last until March 12, 2025.

The advantage of participating in a large-scale group project gives the opportunity to all participants to benefit from a lower price. Starting at 1.000 trees, the price of trees diminishes. The price for planting 50.000 trees is €1.60 per tree. 

Participate in the creation of the Belgian-Armenian Forest by donating 10, 20, 100 trees or more. Donors of 2.000 trees or more can have their names on the forest sign board. We will honour three categories of donors: 

Supporters: 2.000 trees = €3.200 

Partners: 5.000 trees = €8.000

Major Sponsors: 10.000 trees = €16.000
