During the visit, Martin Galstyan, president of the Central Bank of Armenia, highlighted the idea behind the creation of these forests. He emphasized that beyond celebrating the dram's 30th anniversary, this initiative is a forward-thinking step toward environmental conservation, making the "green agenda" a priority not just for the Central Bank but for the entire banking sector. Galstyan mentioned that focusing on nature today is crucial for building a better future, demonstrating how economic and environmental goals can intertwine.
Andre Gumuchdjian, founder of My Forest Armenia was particularly grateful for the commitment of the banking sector to the environment. He pointed out that this is not only an environmental project but a socio-economic one as well, as providing jobs in remote areas opens new possibilities for life in the villages. He stated that in about ten years, these forests will be fully visible and one day will become an integral part of the natural landscape of Lori. He thanked once again all the bankers present for their long-term vision.
